    This is the Serbian recipe at least 150 years old. ”Janija” is also known as the shepherds’ dish.
 
It is made of “young” meat either lamb or chicken or pork. Put 1-2 tablespoons of fat into a pan. When heated, put sliced onion, a bit of cayenne pepper and one tablespoon of wheat flour. Stir thoroughly and then put previously chopped meat. Fry the ingredients for some time while constantly stirring. When the meat is almost fried add a bit of hot water, put some salt, stir it well and leave it to boil for a while.
